A new approach to GANTT Charts
Our goal was to make Tom's Planner as intuitive as possible.
That's why we've chosen a new approach to project planning and creating Gantt Charts. Tom's Planner enables you to work directly in the Gantt Chart instead of only being a viewing option like in most project planning software.
The magic is in the right click.
For example: to insert a new time block in your project plan, a context menu will open when you right click your mouse. You can then select the option 'insert time block' and choose a color. The same applies for a context menu that will appear when you right click on the frame that displays activities and groups.
Filter and search.
Tom's Planner has a super easy to use filter panel allowing you to filter your chart by almost anything you like. For instance you can filter your Gantt chart by a name of one of your resources and check it's availibilty. You can also filter by activity status allowing you to get an instant overview of what still needs to be done. By filtering on dates you can, for instance, see what needs to be done today. Allowing you to use Tom's Planner as your daily To Do list.
Do you want to incorporate your project plan into a report?
Simply click on 'import & export' button in the toolbar and select the 'image' option to save your project plan as an image file that can then be included in for example, Word or Excel documents. You can also mail it to others, store it within your project archive, put it on your intranet or include it within any other project management tool you are currently using.
You can store, share and manage your schedules online.
Toms Planner offers you an easy and secure way to share and collaborate on charts with your clients or other people in your team.
You can collaborate on your schedules with your team or publish the schedule online and add it to your website or intranet using an iframe.
You can give others the right to edit or the right to view only for every schedule you stored online.
You can keep your project plan up to date by easily clicking on tasks or activities and dragging them to a different location.
You can also drag with your mouse over your Gantt Chart to select multiple tasks at once. This makes it possible to create temporary dependencies between different elements in your Gantt Chart.
